This spammer, Charles M. Nudo, Jr., of Drums, PA, says rules don't
apply to him and spams Usenet unrepentantly for his own eBay and
Audiogon trash and for businesses he cons into paying him to spam
their wares. Since having all his Google Groups sock puppet accounts
shut down for spamming, he's started another one using his own
"rinky-dink" Yahoo domain, 8trackaudio.com. All his spam posts
originate from frontier.net (formerly epix.net,) his home ISP, and
since he's dumb enough to use Google Groups, his IP is in each header.

Such eBay auction spam is a violation of both Google Groups' and
Frontier.net's Terms of Service. Per his ISP's Terms of Use, it's
also a violation to violate the rules of other sites, and the spammer
can be assessed a minimum $200 fine for such a violation. See
applicable rule statements at:

http://www.frontieronline.com/residential_aup

and...

http://groups.google.com/googlegroups/terms_of_service3.html

Fight back against Usenet spam by sending his spam
message, with headers, to:

groups-***@google.com
***@frontiernet.net
***@audiogon.com

You can also reach Frontier's abuse desk on:

866-474-7662

Be sure to include his IP in your complaint to Frontier, which is
209.74.29.60 for this spam load.

The OP spam was less annoying than your constant stalking.

PS, that $200 fine only pertains to bulk email, which I am amazed you can't
tell the difference between email and usenet.

You will get no takers at $80.... Or, if there are any residual brains
in this world, $8.

Many people value the sound that an old tube receiver provides . Most modern
receivers are crap when it comes to audiophile audio, they are geared
primarily for multichannel decoding of movies.

That would be true, excepting the particular item, the price asked and
its source.

The cost of shipping would exceed the value of the unit.

Value is in the eyes of the beholder. What you see is crap , someone who owned
one of those decades ago might want to pick one back up in mint condition for
shits and giggles. Oh well, i can see your side of the issue and i can see
the OP's side and man this fence is starting to give me slivers!

This is true. But there's a big difference between a real tube amp with
decent output transformers and this Pioneer junk.

I think I would take a nice old Fisher 400 any day of the week!
I suspect one would go for about 1/4 of this asking price.

Actually, $80 is about fair for a Fisher 400 in decent shape. The nice
thing about the 400 is that it uses readily-available 7868 output tubes
rather than the 7591s that some of the other Fisher receivers use.
(There is a Russian 7591 equivalent which sounds good, but it's taller
than the real thing, and too tall to close the case on a Fisher 500).

The 7868 isn't the most linear thing around, but it's not half bad and
those Fishers had surprisingly good output transformers.

Yes. They will make a silverface Deluxe/Deluxe Reverb perform great.

You can use them in homebrew hi fi as well.
